Launch of Mobile Apps developed in-house

In 2013, we launched the BharatMatrimony mobile apps on Android and iOs platforms, developed by our own tech team. The BharatMatrimony app is the first of its kind in the matrimony domain in India. Members can now easily shortlist, express interest to prospects, send mails and edit profiles with a simple swipe. Mobile is critical to us and so we decided to build the capability internally. We were early adopters of mobile and have moved to a mobile first strategy now.

BharatMatrimony celebrated Matrimony Day on April 14th to bring about a global awareness on the good effects of marriage. Matrimony Day is a day for married couples to realise the worth of each other and renew their vows of love and togetherness forever. In the advent of Matrimony Day on April 14th, BharatMatrimony launched a novel idea of Matrimony Day Express - the All-India Signature Campaign, Matrimony Day XPRESS flagged off by Ms Akhila Srinivasan, MD, Shriram Investments, in the presence of BharatMatrimony CEO, Murugavel Janakiraman in Chennai on March 21st. BharatMatrimony conducted 100 matrimony meets for different communities in 1 day and at one time on March 27. It is for the first time that a record 100 meets was held in a single day.
